Jeanie Gorski, LMT, BS, NCMT, CMCP, is owner and manager of Therapy Designed for You (TDFY). As a 2002 graduate of the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA, she completed the 900-hour intensive program and was honored as the spokesperson of her class. Jeanie has since become certified in Myofascial Release and Mobilization (2008, 96 hours), Neuromuscular Therapy (2009, 96 hours), Oncology Massage (2011, 32 hours), Pregnancy Massage (2012, 16 hours) and Massage Cupping (2014, 22 hours). She has also trained in various assessment skills and other massage techniques.
Jeanie is experienced in considering all aspects of a client’s lifestyle and the impact on muscle health. She works closely with her clients on self-care treatment and largely attributes the success of her practice to word-of-mouth referrals. It is her goal to treat clients as often as needed to identify and resolve the muscular issues and contributing factors, and then to see clients as infrequently as possible to maintain the improvement.
Jeanie was elected by membership to the office of President of the American Massage Therapy Association-NH Chapter in April 2014 for a two-year term. She previously held various elected board and appointed committee positions in the chapter. Due to her excellent work, she was awarded the AMTA 2009 Meritorious Award, the highest award available for a chapter to bestow on a volunteer member. The AMTA-NH Chapter also awarded Jeanie over the last few years with the President’s Award and Committee Chair of the Year.
In her private life, Jeanie has volunteered as a Big Sister with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Manchester Chapter, served as Auction Chair with her husband, Ted, for the Chernobyl Children Project USA annual auction and volunteered on various committees. Currently, Jeanie is co-chair of Hearts for Hope, an annual fundraiser for Vision International Missions, which runs an orphanage in Haiti; manages the massage tent and recruits massage therapists for The Prouty, a two-day annual fundraiser for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center; and goes on medical missions to Haiti for one or two weeks each year.
She graduated magna cum laude from St. Peters College in 1998 and enjoys live theatre, opera, reading, bike riding and learning new things. Jeanie lives in Bedford with her husband, Ted.
